Located at the edge of the university campus along Mihajlo Lalića Boulevard, the building occupies a key urban position between the modernist campus grid and the surrounding park landscape. It acts as a cultural interface, connecting academic life with the city and establishing a contemporary landmark that responds to Podgorica’s mountainous context through a calm and luminous architectural expression.
The building is organized along a central internal axis, the Culture Boulevard, which links city and campus and structures all public functions. Programmatic spaces are arranged around a central courtyard that brings daylight and visual connections deep into the interior. A compact two storey volume ensures generous spatial quality while avoiding excessive height.
Light defines the architectural character. North facing skylights, layered façades with brise soleils, and a transparent ground floor create a soft and welcoming atmosphere. A clear structural grid and hybrid construction support flexibility, sustainability, and long term use.
